Sonja Marcic, M.D., Ph.D. has practiced Nephrology in the southwest suburbs of Chicago for nearly a decade. She makes an effort to support each individual patient’s specific needs in order to determine the best therapeutic options. With this personalized approach she is able to deliver the highest quality compassionate care.
Dr. Marcic is board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. She completed her fellowship at Loyola University Chicago, and did her residency training at Christ Medical Center/University of Illinois at Chicago. Her expertise is strengthened by a doctoral degree (PhD) in Pharmacology from University of Illinois.
MUHAMMAD OMER, M.D.
Muhammad Omer, M.D. is well versed in treating patients with all types of kidney disease. His strengths include the ability to develop a strong relationship with patients and their families, combined with diverse training. Dr. Omer is devoted to comprehensive healthcare to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes, and believes that patients and their families should be actively involved in decision making related to their health.
Dr. Omer is board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine, completing his Fellowship in Nephrology & Kidney Transplant at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and his residency at Advocate Christ Medical Center/University of Illinois at Chicago.
SUSHANT TAKSANDE, M.D.
Sushant Taksande, M.D. believes that patients are best treated by being well informed of their healthcare options. He understands that having open communication and respect for a patient’s concerns is important, and is diligent about answering patient’s questions before they leave the office. He prides himself on being a well-informed physician, using the latest evidence base to provide the best care possible while being sensitive and empathetic to individual patient needs.
Dr. Taksande is board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. He completed his Fellowship at the University of Chicago, and his residency at Wayne State University in Detroit.
Dr. Alsharif, M.D.
Dr. Alsharif is passionate about offering optimal patient care that informs, educates and establishes patient/physician trust. As a dedicated internist and board certified nephrologist, he applies innovative techniques to patient’s care plan to ensure they receive uncompromising treatment.
Dr. Alsharif is well-versed in a myriad of treatment options for hospital, critical care, geriatrics and nephrology. He completed both his fellowship and residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. He is a member of the AMA, ACP-ASIM, ASN and NAAMA. Dr. Alsharif is also a recipient of the Resident Research Grant for outstanding and ongoing clinical research in renal transplantation.
Osezua Olear, M.D.
Osezua Olear, M.D. believes that patient education should be at the core of any physician practice. He prides himself on creating an environment of open communication with his patients, making sure they have a clear understanding of their disease and treatment options. He encourages his patients to take an active role in their treatment so they can make informed decisions regarding their health.
Dr. Olear is a board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible for Nephrology. He completed his fellowship at New York University Langone Health in New York, New York and his residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
